Revelation Bible Ministry

August 2022 Newsletter

Dear loved ones,

Thank you for your continued prayers and support, may God bless you for your faithfulness as I praise God for each of you.  Recently the management at our office building changed and the door was closing for us to use the larger vacant offices to hold the volunteer days at no extra cost. Thank God, He’s allowed it to stay open for now.  Please pray the Lord blesses the management and the owners for their hospitality.  As the ministry is driven by individual donations and volunteers, and the monthly rent for these sized offices are not in our budget at this time.   Most importantly, please join me in praising the Lord for His steadfast provision, as I am deeply humbled and touched by His love and mercy surrounding this opportunity.

I would also like to praise the Lord for providing an industrial size printer that was donated to the ministry.  I believe this will dramatically decrease the cost of printing the newsletter/devotional inserts that we mail with each Bible and allow us to use that money to purchase and ship more Bibles, all glory to God.  Please include these thoughtful friends who donated this in your prayers as well.

God willing we’ll be meeting this Saturday, Aug 27th from 9AM-1PM in San Jose to prepare and ship Bibles and need your help.

Here’s a letter from our brother who we shipped a Bible to last time we met…..

Revelation Bible Ministry,

In the Name of Jesus, I ask that this letter finds R.B.M. in a state of loving grace beyond what this world could touch or conceive. I pray all are well and for provision to your ministry.

I am writing to request a Bible from you. I asked for one in 2019 and on Oct. 12, 2019, I was sent one that I have put to good use. In 2020 I read through it at least eight times. This Bible is literally falling apart, as it is putting me together.  It has been a HUGE blessing!

I am set to be released on Aug. 22, 2022, after serving over 17 years. I am reading as much Scripture as I can and could use a new Bible.

Thank you so much,

Elias

EIGHT TIMES, what a blessing that the Lord has given him a hunger for His Word. Be grateful to the Lord that you and I are a part of these lives and souls for eternity. He’s been released and God willing with his new Bible. Please pray that the Lord keeps His loving arms tight around him and continues to “put him together” through the reading of the Word.

Here’s another letter that I’d like to share with you…

To Everyone at Revelation Bible Ministry,

Bless you all! May God continue to show His love and providence through the work that you do.  I received my NKJV Compact red-letter Bible that you sent, today.  It is the most beautiful gift I have received in all my time in prison.  This Bible is more than I could have hoped for and above all, you’ve taken time to make beloved passages.  I see in the newsletter the photos of all the volunteers sending out the Scripture, and my heart is filled with gratitude and brotherly love.  Please know that what you do has great meaning.  You’ve heeded the call to share the Gospel, and by doing so you bring light and hope to those in darkness. There could be no higher purpose, or greater expression of loving kindness.  Again, bless you.

Personally, it means that I can continue on my path of discovery of God’s love for me through the Word.  I, and many prisoners like me, desperately need that love.  We need to feel that connection with our Creator, as we are disconnected from all else. The comfort I find in the Bible truly keeps me going.

This Bible will also be one of the tools I use to give testimony to others.  God willing, men may be saved.

I have very little.  I do have some stamps, but my family sacrifices a lot to provide the few I have.  I must use my postage to keep in contact with my loved ones. What I can provide is prayer, and my promise that, like you, I will go on and share the Gospel with others.  I also offer my sincere thanks.  Thank you all for this lovely gift.  I will treasure it always.

Humbly, your brother in Christ, Michael

P.S. The prison personnel defaced the cover with permanent marker (my name, CDCR #, and housing) I filed a complaint in the hopes that they treat Bibles as SACRED from now on.  I don’t require anything from you good folks, but maybe send a note along with the Bibles asking prison personal to do respectfully, and not write on the outside of the Bible.  For future reference.

Please come and join us, breakfast, beverages, and snacks are provided.  We are a 501c3 and if you’d like to donate, a tax-deductible receipt will be sent out once a year in January for the previous year.   We operate from individual donations, volunteers and of course God’s grace and appreciate your support.

Thank you and look forward to serving alongside of you this Saturday, God willing,

Revelation Bible Ministry
