Dear loved ones,
Thank you for your continued prayers and support, may God bless you for your faithfulness. Last time we met it was exceptionally special when a recently paroled inmate who’ve received a Bible from us a few years ago called and shared how she still is reading her Bible daily. She called beforehand and shared how everyone in her life had given up on her, except God through ministries like ours and how grateful she is. Tears of joy ran down everyone’s cheeks as she shared and we prayed with our sister, all glory to God.
We also were able to move to another different vacant office that is larger and more helpful to our needs. God willing we’ll be able to remain in it. I’m so grateful for His provision, thank you for praying for the owners and management team who allows us to do so.
We will be taking a break in September and God willing meeting on October 15th the third Saturday of the month. At the same time from 9AM- 1PM. Please mark your calendars as we always welcome your help and contact me if you’re planning to attend, thank you.
Here’s a letter from an inmate which we sent a Bible to the last time we met….
Hi, my name is Ricardo and to begin with thank you for taking the tine to read my letter. I’m currently serving time at Donovan State Prison for things I did which I should not have done. So prior to my incarceration I was lost and had no sense of guidance and although my parents tried to instill the fear of God in me, it wasn’t my time. Before taking my time (deal/sentence) I was told I was facing 39 years, if not life and that’s when I woke up. Something told me that if I didn’t make the choice to change, I would never be able to see the light. I believe it was God telling me it was time. Time to come home. Ironically, I’m glad that I came to jail because it’s changed me tremendously and I give it all to my loving and forgiving Father. Without Him I’d still be lost. I read ‘Our Daily Bread” every morning before starting my day because if I don’t my day just isn’t right. One of the brother’s gave me this address to write to so that I may be able to receive a Bible of my own. He also said it would come with my name it. But honestly any Bible will be a blessing.
Thank you again and God bless!
